A line-based print by Studio Studio, made earlier in the year, was selected as the cover of form Magazine, the German design publication. A second print from the same series appears on the inside cover.

The series is built from a single continuous line, drawn and redrawn into compositions that hold together through repetition rather than figure. The work takes its starting point from a line by Rudolf Arnheim: “While verbal thinking and visual thinking are distinct, thinking and seeing cannot be separated.” The prints sit somewhere inside that distinction, as exercises in seeing carried out through drawing.

The issue also includes an interview with Studio Studio on graphic design and on working in Ghent.
