Kavka is a youth-oriented cultural centre in Antwerp, operating across two venues: Kavka and Zappa. The programme runs monthly, with a constant flow of concerts, club nights and events. The identity had to do two things at once: distinguish the venues from each other, and hold them together as a single organisation.

Studio Studio built the system around lines and contours. A fixed framework, with enough internal variation to generate a different poster every month without losing recognition. Each edition is unmistakably Kavka, and unmistakably new.

The posters are printed and distributed across Antwerp, where they sit alongside the visual noise of the city. The system was designed to be read at a glance and to remain consistent over time. It carried the venue through to its tenth anniversary, a decade of monthly variation produced from the same set of rules.
