Maison Eclectique was founded by Moniek E. Bucquoye as a single space bringing art, design and architecture together under one roof. Studio Studio designed the visual identity.
The identity is organised around two basic geometric elements, a circle and a straight line, which carry through into the typographic choice. The typeface is Signifier, drawn in relation to seventeenth-century English Roman types but built around strict vertical and horizontal details that rhyme directly with the line and circle of the logo. The type and the mark are, in that sense, constructed from the same vocabulary.
