Karlijn Sonderen Smit is an actress, author and theatre maker, working across performance, prose, poetry and audio. Her practice resists neat categorisation, and the website was designed to honour that.

Rather than a conventional portfolio, the site operates as a collage. Personal images, drawings, found internet material and original texts are layered into a single, deliberately unstable navigation. There is no predetermined reading order. The visitor drifts, encounters unexpected juxtapositions, occasionally loses orientation. The confusion is structural, not accidental. It reflects how the work itself moves: between fiction and autobiography, between control and improvisation.

Alongside the website, a series of flyers was designed for Karlijn’s workshops. Fluorescent colour, playfyl shapes and a play on typography translate the energy of her participatory practice into print. The flyers don’t explain the workshops. They perform the same restless, inviting logic.
